So maybe you’re getting ready to have a fun weekend… If not, you should; it’s one of the early weekends of summer when the feeling is still fresh. And you know what? Nothing says summer to me like one of those sort of lame, but always good-feeling street fairs. They may block off your road, and they may have that monotone sham-wow guy, but this year the 3rd Avenue Street Fair will also have Captain Coconut. And you know what else? You may have heard of her, you may have seen her, you may know a thing or two about her, but maybe you haven’t seen her at a street fair, Emily Elbert will be joining us LIVE on 3rd Avenue! Come on, get yourself a kabob and a key chain and watch us get funkified on Sunday at 1:15 pm at 3rd avenue between 73rd and 74th streets.
Be there or be square.
So maybe you’ll see us at the street fair on Sunday and you still won’t get enough. Well, join us on Thursday (6/11) at the Knitting Factory. You really ought to go to this one, they’re gonna close down at the end of the month and move to Brooklyn plus it won’t smell like the street fair and it’s a fond farewell to a place where we made some memories: you guys remember that time we sold out the downstairs room? that was awesome. I think we’ve got some good points here.
You may be thinking, this doesn’t sound like the normal newsletter, well that’s because I let my girlfriend write this one. So see you there, it’s not spring break, it’s not the Christmas holidays (including Hanukkah), it’s summer!
